Mary has worked in women only and coed gyms in Boston and Los Angeles. She has had her own personal training business in Los Angeles since 1994. Always active, Mary joined a gym after college and learned how to turn a way of life into a career. Mary started teaching aerobics and doing personal training part time after work to balance the sedentary component of the 'day job'. In 1992, she moved to California from her native Massachusetts and became a full time personal trainer and fitness instructor. For four years Mary ran the aerobics department for a woman's gym and used that platform to create programs like "Countdown to the Millennium" healthy lifestyle program. Driven to learn more for herself and her clients, she received her Masters in Public Health from UCLA and plans to continue to work to fight childhood and adult obesity.

As only Millie can say it "I love all sports but basketball is my thing!" She has been involved in all sports:basketball, track, softball, volleyball, flag football since the age of 5. It was her years of varsity basketball that earned her a 4 year basketball scholarship to California State University of Los Angeles. It was there, in 1994, where Millie earned a BS in Exercise Science. Since that time, she has used her education, experience and training, to coach girls and women in basketball, softball and volleyball at different schools(Brentwood School, Harvard-Westlake and Santa Monica College). She has also trained professional WNBA players and NCAA athletes that competed in different sports (volleyball, softball, basketball, tennis, track and field). For 5 years, Millie worked as a physical therapy aide/technician. She worked with pre/post rehab with patients with knee, shoulder, foot, ankle back injuries. Millie has had her own training business since 1999. "I believe that every 'BODY' is different and we need to treat every 'BODY' differently. I also believe that it's never too late to start exercising. Working out should not be a chore, so I try to make it fun and exciting by attending plenty of workshops and seminars in functional training, core strengthening and stability and keeping with current exercise 'fads'. Strict with form and technique, I won't sacrifice form and technique for heavier weights!"
