DESCRIPTIONS
Hip Hop Hip Hop as a dance form
emerged from New York City in the 1970s and is often
associated with rap music. It started as break dancing and what emerged were
many other street dance forms that are seen in music videos. Have fun and let loose with this fun dance class!
Dance Fusion: This class incorporates many different styles of
dance; salsa, theatre, jazz, funk, and belly. The dance-based moves will be
designed to increase heart rate. Check
it out!
Zumba:
Zumba is a style of intense
dance-aerobics workout with pulsating Latin music. The 60-minute program incorporates
footwork and body movements from flamenco, salsa and other dances. Participants
pump their legs, windmill their arms, gyrate their hips, clap their hands, dip,
slide and spin — all to a frenzied beat that leaves them with flushed cheeks
and dripping in sweat.
Ballet Body Just as it says: using bar work, plies and more,
work towards a physique that is strong and supple. Ballet shoes not required.
Step n' Sculpt: Half intermediate step and half muscle conditioning. The best of both
worlds cardiovascular and weight
training!
Step This class is a full hour of cardio work on
utilizing the step. Participants should have a full knowledge of basic step
terminology as well as be able to safely execute advanced choreography and
power moves.
TBC This class provides a little of everything
by offering a segment of low impact, a segment of STEP, and weights. Following this great overall workout is a
refreshing stretch.
Low Impact: Burn fat and improve
overall fitness with this amazing class! Begin with an intense & easy to
follow cardio segment followed by challenging muscle-conditioning exercises
designed to increase strength and endurance.
Try our ‘Classic Low Impact’, ‘Latin Low Impact’, or ‘Low Impact with
Pizazz’!
Inner Athlete: This class incorporates low impact and kick boxing
style cardio combinations, athletic drills and strength moves. This class also uses weights.
Circuit A full hour
of fat burning and muscle strengthening by alternating stations of conditioning
exercises and cardio drills. Try our
‘BOSU Circuit’, ‘Cardio Circuit Blast’ or ‘Core Circuit’ classes.
CORE Express 30 Minutes of exercises designed
to strengthen and make you aware of your core.
Great for all levels.
CORE Circuit Is a one
hour class that combines Circuit Express with CORE Express.
Strong Women/Strong
Bones: Strength training workout
designed to make strength training accessible to those new to muscle
conditioning. All levels are welcome, as the simple strong movements may be
made more intense with heavier weights.
Body Blast: Define, tone and
strengthen your body using weights, tubes and even the ball! A great resistance
training class! Balance work may also be included in the class. ALL LEVELS
WELCOME!
Pilates: Exercise performed on mats; focus on breathing, body-awareness, and core
strength. Class incorporates props such as tubes, Fitness Circles or Toning
Balls for an additional challenge.
Stretch: Yoga and Pilates based movements are
“fused” with standing balance work, traditional abdominal exercises and flowing
stretches to help you achieve long, lean muscles and a flexible youthful body.
This comprehensive class will leave you feeling “unkinked” and refreshed!
Yoga: This practice is based on foundational yoga poses
performed in a dynamic, flowing style to create a balance of physical action,
internal focus, and conscious breathing. The pace is energizing and the poses
are modified to include beginners while challenging experienced practitioners.
QI GONG A powerful ‘healing art’ that uses slow graceful
movements and breathing exercises to increase “life force energy”. Benefits of regular Qi Gong practice are
improved blood circulation and higher levels of function by the endocrine and
digestive system. When one strengthens
their energy-spirit=body a peace and confidence emerges that is usually noticed
by others.
Let’s Ride!: 60 minute indoor cycling class for those who want
to add more intensity and endurance to their ride. All participants are encouraged to workout
at their appropriate pace.
